CAP Code of Conduct

I will be ready to start on time, not just pulling into the parking lot.

I will speak with respect to cast and leaders.

I will not talk when instructions are being given.

It is up to me to know when and where rehearsals are!

If it’s not mine, I will not touch it.

If it is mine, I will take care of it.

I will eat and drink only at designated areas and times.

I will NEVER chew gum during rehearsals or performances.

I will take personal responsibility for the success of the show.

Dress Code: No spaghetti straps, short shorts, bare stomachs or other revealing attire.

Behavior Standard: No foul language or other inappropriate behavior!

Please be aware that younger children are in your midst. Please don’t discuss things around them that their mothers would not want them to hear!

CAP Creed

I commit to making The Sound of Music the best show I have ever been in. I will treat others with respect and courtesy.

Attendance/Behavior Policy

ABSENCES – The Director must approve all absences for them to be considered “excused.” An unexcused absence could remove you from the show so please be as accurate as possible in listing pre-existing conflicts on your calendar.  Scheduled conflicts will be taken into consideration when casting leads.

You must provide written notification, two weeks in advance of any anticipated absence that you did not submit on your conflict calendar, for there to be the possibility of it being considered excused.   An “anticipated” absence is one over which you have scheduling or participation options, such as extracurricular activities, family commitments, etc.  A medical emergency or your death would not fall under this policy.

BEHAVIOR – CAP productions follow a “3 strikes and you’re out” policy. To help ensure the high quality of the show, rule breaking or other behavior that is disruptive, distracting or inappropriate will not be allowed. You can be given “strikes” by any member of the production team, as well as parent cast members. The third strike can only be given by the Director, and if a 3rd strike is given in any rehearsal, you will be removed from the show.  Being tardy to rehearsals or shows by more than 10 minutes will result in 1 strike being given for that rehearsal/show.  Being tardy to rehearsals or shows by more than 30 minutes will result in 2 strikes being given.   As mentioned above, if you receive 3 strikes in a rehearsal, you will be dismissed from the show.
